The images below depict the various parts (with prologue and epilogue) currently contained within In the Shadow of the King. Each part includes multiple chapters.
Note: Arrangement might be subject to change before the book is complete. POSTSCRIPT 12/09/2022: The modern dates have indeed changed. Instead of 2001-2002 for the "present" storyline, I've switched them to 2021-2022. The Tudor era dates have remained the same, for obvious reasons. See Timeline Altering post (12/10/22).
There are days I make great progress on the book as far as writing, but other days are consumed with research. I often have to stop and research certain points in time, locations and events, combining facts with the scenes and fictional dialogue I'm creating. It can be slow-going at times, but then I always seem to make up for it with a writing surge that lasts for several days.
Current word count of In the Shadow of the King: 78,576.
