Going with the Flow

The election season has put a serious crimp in my writing schedule. I'm not offering an excuse, but the level of excitement has shifted my focus away from writing. Even my efforts to turn off the television news and/or the computer have failed miserably. However, I realize lack of focus is only temporary - just as it was during the presidential election in 2008.
I do manage to handwrite at night, inputting my notes during the day as I listen to campaign coverage. Posts on my political blog Sagacity have also increased, naturally. I'm obsessed with national events at the moment, a cure for which will only be achieved after the election.
Trying to fight it is pointless.
