Many years ago, I was a staff writer for the now-defunct Ambermont Magazine. I wrote for them for about one year, during which time I submitted monthly articles for publication. The best part of the job was the magazine allowed me to choose my own subject matter for each article. It was also the first time I was regularly paid for my writing, a thrilling experience indeed.
Two of my magazine articles are now online, both freely available to anyone who wants to read them.
A short piece about Blarney Castle and it's purported magical stone was one of my first articles for Ambermont Magazine.
The second piece is about solitaire, or as I describe it: "The Art of Solitaire" contains a brief history of solitaire, variations of solitaire, computer solitaire programs, resources and useful links.
Enjoy the free reads!
