Happy Blast from the Past

Mum was going through a bag of old pictures the other day, where she found several shots of Wilbert, Foofer and Rainee. They were all taken at our home in Spokane in 2004, before I received my first digital camera. I scanned a few of the photos and tidied them the best I could.

I think this is my favorite:

Wilbert and Foofer, June 2004. The photo was taken the same day we brought Rainee home from the Spokane Humane Society. Needless to say, Foofer felt a bit left out so he welcomed Wilbert's attentions at the end of the day. Click on picture to see larger size in a new window.

It appears as if Wilbert and Foofer are having a conversation in this shot:

The following picture is a bit fuzzy, but it shows the mutual love between Wilbert and Foofer:

And finally, a shot of Wilbert with Rainee just a few days after she joined our little family:

The photos bring back many pleasant memories. We had quite the family at one time, something I miss to this day.

Now that Wilbert and Foofer are both gone, I treasure Rainee and Kiki all the more. The devotion and pure affection experienced with our pets is probably the only form of true unconditional love we are likely to receive.

Life is much too short to waste on trifles.
